Rini Kaushal, LLMFT

Limited Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Location: Ann Arbor

“The person is not the problem; the problem is the problem.”

This profound belief forms the cornerstone of Rini’s therapeutic practice as a Limited Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. With two masters degrees in Counseling Psychology (India) and Marriage & Family Therapy from Northwestern University (USA), she brings five years of experience in individual, couples, and family counseling, motivated by a deep commitment to serving diverse clients.

Trained in Integrative Systemic Therapy (IST) and using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory, Rini employs a holistic perspective to view individuals and families as interconnected systems. Fluent in both English and Hindi, she creates an inclusive environment for diverse clientele experiencing domestic violence, family of origin issues, relationship conflicts, divorce, depression, acculturation, identity related issues and adjustment difficulties.

Drawing inspiration from the timeless wisdom, “Do not be satisfied with the stories that come before you; unfold your own myth”, she guides her clients in crafting their unique narratives, separating them from the issues they face and encouraging exploration of their mental landscape to discover strength and resilience.

In her practice, Rini fosters a therapeutic space characterized by openness, warmth, and authentic empathy, creating an environment where clients feel heard and understood. Her goal is to provide a secure refuge for those navigating the intricate pathways of their inner worlds and supporting them on their journey towards transformation, self-discovery, and empowerment.
