Licensed Professional Counselor
Location: Ann Arbor

Melanie Miller is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals and couples meet their full potential and live meaningful, fulfilling lives. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients better recognize the various parts of themselves. IFS assists the process of uncovering motivations that drive thoughts and behaviors, which increases the effectiveness of CBT.
Melanie honors the gift and responsibility of engaging with and understanding the complexities of each client’s story. She enjoys learning as much as teaching and facilitating the process of healing. Melanie’s goal as a therapist is to create an environment that empowers clients and enables them to thrive, despite difficulties and circumstances. Melanie approaches each client with curiosity and a desire to assist in cultivating self-leadership.
Melanie received her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management with a minor in Health and Fitness from Virginia Wesleyan College. Her clinical interests include Attachment Theory, Highly Sensitive Persons (SPS trait), integration of Theology and Psychology, Neurodiverse couples, Blended Family Issues, Grief and Loss and working with interpersonal and intrapersonal conflict and awareness.
