Hillary Fitzsimmons, Psy.D.

Dr. Hillary Fitzsimmons is a clinical psychologist who provides therapy and assessment to a diverse population of children, adolescents, and adults. She is also a certified trauma practitioner and offers services for those who have experienced trauma and negative life events.
Hillary is passionate about working with children and families. She has extensive experience providing play therapy and parenting support for children with emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. She takes a strength-based, relational approach to create a safe place for children to express and manage their emotions. She believes that all behaviors have a purpose, and supports parents with effectively understanding, responding, and connecting with their children.
Other areas of interest include supporting young adults and women with issues related to self-esteem and body image issues, relationship issues, family conflict, anger management, anxiety, and depression. She is a compassionate and supportive therapist who will empower clients to grow, find hope, and cope with new challenges.
Hillary received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. Her research is focused on understanding the link between trauma symptoms and bipolar disorder in youth. Prior to her graduate training, Hillary received her undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology at Ithaca College in New York.
