Specializing in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their parents, Adam Schulman enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds. He utilizes Parent Management Training (PMT) with families to help parents effectively manage their children’s behavior by promoting their personal strengths and supporting them with interventions tailored to their needs (such as good directions, encouragement, and limit-setting). 

In the context of individual therapy, Adam operates from a Cognitive-Behavioral framework (CBT), and he incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well. In particular, Adam provides support for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and PTSD. He seeks to create a safe and professional environment for his clients and families by fostering their strengths through a person-centered approach. Through psychoeducation and skill development, Adam helps his clients achieve the balance and growth they are looking for.

Adam Schulman is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) who completed his graduate training at Wayne State University. Prior to his experience in Detroit, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University.
