Hillary Fitzsimmons, Psy.D.

Dr. Hillary Fitzsimmons is a clinical psychologist who received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to her graduate training, Hillary received her undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology at Ithaca College in New York.
Hillary is passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Her areas of interest including working with at-risk youth, including those diagnosed with bipolar disorder, oppositional-defiant disorder, PTSD, depression, and ADHD. Hillary is a certified childhood trauma specialist and offers services related to the effects of childhood trauma. Hillary’s research is focused on understanding the link between trauma symptoms and bipolar disorder in youth.
Hillary has experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to a diverse population in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitalization, private practice, residential treatment facilities, and several school settings. Other areas of interest for Hillary include family therapy, relationship issues, anger management, anxiety, and behavioral problems. Hillary takes a strength-based, relational approach with clients in order to create a trusting, therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe and empowered to grow.
