She works collaboratively with her clients to address concerns and develop the most suitable treatment plan. Allanté understands the importance of building a solid therapist-client relationship, as this is an essential component of the therapeutic process.
Allanté Burnell, MA, TLLP is a Temporary Limited License Psychologist who has received her Master of Clinical Behavioral Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan. She has diverse work experience including training in Applied Behavioral Analysis, wherein she treated children with cognitive impairments and executive functioning deficits. Allanté completed training at Cypress Counseling Center working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting issues. Allanté has utilized evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness-Based interventions.
Allanté’s clinical interests include working with anxiety and depression, helping clients process grief and loss, stress management, childhood and adolescent behavior therapy and social issues and concerns. Allanté is passionate about helping adolescents work through the obstacles of developmental transitions impacted by environmental stressors as well as LGBTQ+ and race-related issues. Additionally, she works with couples and families to better understand interpersonal dynamics and work toward effective solutions.
